Z is for Zenith. So the end of this alphabet - the ’Zenith’ to all the techniques learnt on the linocut letters journey. But it’s not the end, there’s so much more to learn and discover– in fact it’s just the beginning. Z was born out of a conversation about the craft, skill and admiration of signwriting in a pub one lunchtime. Z is for all the lettering artists, typographers past and present, to those who keep the craft alive, not looking backwards but who make it relevant for a new audience in whatever media format that fits. This letter captures most of the techniques learnt so far - multiple colours, curves, circles, gradients and a dish of metallic gold thrown in for good measure.
